Statistics show that 44% of working Canadians have had or have a mental illness, and the employees of small businesses aren’t immune. This workshop will help you understand your responsibility as employer to address mental illness in the workplace.

This seminar will outline five things you can do to create a psychologically healthy and safe workplace:

  • Prepare you for the likelihood that either you or one of your employees will experience a mental illness during their working years.
  • Learn how to respond to an employee who is struggling
  • Gain access to free resources available for your workforce
  • Learn how being proactive can help you heighten engagement, improve productivity and lower absenteeism.

Hosted by Small Business BC. Presented by: Julia Kaisla, Community Engagement Director, CMHA BC
